Campus life
Code of conduct
The rules that keep the campus safe, clean and respectful for everyone who studies here.
Why we have rules
A campus that works for everyone
The code of conduct is short, clear and applies to every student alike.
A college runs well when everyone knows what is expected. These rules are not meant to burden you. They protect your safety, your classmates’ time and the college’s property. They also prepare you for any workplace, where dress, identity, punctuality and respect all matter.
Read the code before the first day. Admission to the college is a promise to follow it, and the Principal may cancel the admission of a student who takes part in any unsocial or illegal activity (see the admission rules).

Code of conduct
Rules every student follows
Thirteen rules cover dress, identity, attendance, behaviour, campus care and ragging.
Uniform and identity
How every student is recognised on campus.
College uniform and lab coat are mandatory for all students.
Every student must carry his or her identity card when entering the campus.
No guests or visitors are allowed with students in the class, laboratory or library.
Attendance
Being present, and telling the college when you cannot be.
Every student must inform the college if he or she leaves in the middle of the session.
Parents and guardians are requested to co-operate with the college authorities and to make sure their ward appears in the class tests and the pre-university examination.
Behaviour
Respect for staff, classmates and the order of the college.
Smoking and chewing of tobacco are strictly prohibited on campus.
Discourtesy towards any member of the staff, or any act that affects the discipline and decorum of the college, will be seriously viewed. In extreme cases, strict action will be taken.
Campus care
The campus belongs to every student who uses it.
Students must help to keep the institute neat and clean and to maintain the greenery.
Students must conserve electricity and water. Switch off the lights and fans when you leave a classroom or laboratory.
Vandalism of college property will be dealt with severely, and the material loss will be fully recovered with a fine.
Scribbling on walls and furniture is strictly prohibited. Anyone found guilty will be punished as per the college norms.
No ragging
Every student is safe from the first day.
Ragging is strictly prohibited. Anyone found guilty is liable to be punished as per the directives of the UGC and the Government.
The college does not accept violence or exploitation by students in any case. It is treated as a crime and is punishable by law.
Safe campus
What keeps the campus safe
The rules work alongside the safety measures the college has put in place.

- CCTV surveillance across the college.
- Constant vigilance and monitoring to maintain discipline.
- A fire-safe campus.
- Identity cards at entry, and no visitors in class, laboratory or library.
- Strict action against ragging, violence and exploitation.
If you face a problem, speak to a teacher or the college office. Students can also use the counselling and the student services support the college provides.
For parents
How parents can help
The college asks parents and guardians to work with it.

Parents and guardians are asked to co-operate with the college authorities. The most helpful thing they can do is make sure their ward comes to class and appears in the class tests and the pre-university examination. These tests show where a student needs help early, while remedial classes are still available.
If a student must leave in the middle of the session, please inform the college office.
